Best Time for Andharban Trek

To enjoy this trek to its fullest, the monsoon is the best time to visit. The monsoon season starts from June to September are the best months to enjoy the trek to Andharban. But if you are a fan of hiking then you have to wait till October. The hiking experience is best from October to January. It is a good idea and, as the forest is always denser than ever, it has more and more winter fog, which gives it a mysterious and thrilling atmosphere.

How to reach?

The journey to this track is quite easy. Basically, the journey starts from Pimpri village in Maharashtra. You can reach this trek through three modes that are, through road, railway and flight. 

Road

It is only 54 miles from Pimpri village. You can take public transportation to reach Lonavala. From here you need to pick a minibus or bus to reach Pimpri Village. You can also rent cars if you come from Mumbai. But if you are not from Mumbai or any other city west of Pimpri then you can first arrive in Pune and from there, take the help of a private taxi in the town of Pimpri.

Train

Trains often move from Mumbai to Lonavala and Pune. Take Pune Intercity or Deccan Express and Udyan Express. If you are from the north try Hazrat Nizamuddin Express. 

Flight

You can take a flight to Pune, which is accessible from major Indian cities by plane, and take a minibus to Pimpri.

It is around10 to 15 kilometers from Tamhini, one must go there to save water on the Kundalika River. As it is a jungle trek,
