Triund Trek

Triund is a campsite that can be accessed via McLeodganj in Himachal Pradesh. This being a small hill station it is mostly visited by tourists as part of trekking. And this region is very close to Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. There are two routes to Triund that are from Dharamkot and the other from Bhagsu falls. But the route via Bhagsu falls is the most difficult part. Most of the locals do not suggest this route but if you are the one who prefers adventure then you can take the route from Bhagsu falls.

In the midst you will get to see Shiva Cafe where the actual trek starts. And in the midst of the trail you will also reach Shepard Cafe where you can take rest as the trek till now would be steeper. After a considerable trail you will see McLeodganj from the top very clearly as it is studded in the midst of mountains. But you must be careful that you will not miss the trail as there are some confusing paths that make this trek more difficult.

But once you reach the peak your tiredness will vanish with the beauty of nature. And from a distance you will also get to see Indrahar Pass.

Kareri Lake Trek

Kareri lake is the most sought after destination during weekends in Himachal Pradesh. It is very much closer to Dharamshala and convenient to reach from all the sides. It is located at an altitude of 2930 meters above sea level. The total length of the trek to the lake is 13 kilometers. Though it usually takes 8-9 hours to complete the whole trek in one go. But this is possible only during summers as the night temperatures are mild for trekking. But in winters the temperatures are not tolerable and go to minus degrees as well, making it difficult to stay.

The first half of 5 kilometers of the trek you will reach the midpoint of the trek that is called Rioti. So if you prefer to take a 2 day trek then you can halt at Rioti, which is the midpoint of the whole trek. The halting becomes crucial if you are planning in winters. In the winters the lake is completely frozen and you will witness 5-6 feet of snow covered all around the path towards the lake. In this way you can have plenty of time to explore the place of Kareri lake.

Shrikhand Mahadev Trek

There are at least 6 different routes to reach the peak like from Fancha, Gushaini, Bhagipul, Bathad, Jhakri, etc. But it is considered Bagipul – Joan route is the easiest path out of all. Friendship Peak Trek

Friendship Peak is located in Beas Kund, which is part of Pir Panjal ranges, Himachal Pradesh. It is at an elevation of 5300 meters above sea level. The level of difficulty is considered as a moderate to difficult trail and requires a good amount of physical fitness because of the steepness of the trail and the climate of the region. It could become more challenging for novice individuals and trekkers. Even foreign tourists also visit this place to experience the exquisite panoramic views of the surrounding mountains like the Hanuman Tibba, Indra Asan etc along with the adventurous trail. Friendship Peak trail starts from Solang valley that is covered with some of the amazing Oak and Birch trees, boulders, moraine and of course the gliding glaciers.

Before Solang valley you must travel from Manali to Dhundi village by road to begin the journey to Friendship Peak. Bhakar Thach is the first campsite, where you must come from Dhundi village. Dhundi is the special village as the Beas river meets its first tributary between Rohtang pass and Beas Kund at this place. From Bhakar Thach towards Beas Kund, Lady Leg will finally reach the Summit Camp.
